The loss of a child.

What can you say when a child dies? The loss of a life that has barely begun, there are just no words for it.

Fasika, a 4 year old child from Abugida, passed away last week. She was ill but she was keeping well until she caught a nasty infection which complicated everything. Fasika, an intelligent, beautiful and kind child, a real bundle of happiness. We had known her since she was a baby. Words can’t express what we’re feeling as we’re in a state of shock. We want to pay this little tribute to her.
Our volunteer Phil attended her funeral on behalf of Mediterránea. It’s really dreadful having to inform  you about this. This is the first time we’ve lost a child from Abugida since we’ve been working there.
